It removes air or gaseous particles from a container to create a vacuum and is beneficial in the food & beverage, electronics, pulp and paper, medical, plastics and woodworking industries. Working Mechanism These pumps use a flexible membrane or diaphragm to pull air into an air chamber. The diaphragm creates a barrier between the pump mechanism and air to prevent corrosive fumes from entering the pump components. Features Gast vacuum pump features permanently lubricated and sealed bearings for smooth operations and cast iron construction for enhanced life. This eccentrically placed motor is capable of producing power up to 3/4 HP. It has a multi-voltage dual-frequency motor that can operate at 115/230V AC at 50 Hz. This pump has self-adjusting and self-lubricating vanes to reduce manual efforts. It is equipped with a muffler to reduce noise from the exhaust port.
