Metal Electrical Equipment Breaker and cable Box Wall mount

That metal box is an electrical enclosure (sometimes called a breaker panel box or junction cabinet, depending on how it’s used). Specifically, this one looks like a surface-mount wall electrical enclosure for housing circuit breakers, switches, or structured cabling. The round knockouts on the top and bottom are for conduit or cable entry, and the lockable hinged door keeps everything secure. I don’t have a key to the front lock but it opens and close without the key. It’s a standard thumb lock, which could easily be keyed if that’s important to you.
