Description
A exquisite, antique violin featuring an internal label inscribed with: “Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17—” Jackson-Guldan Violin Co. Columbus, Ohio, USA Estimated to have been crafted between the early and mid-20th century. This violin possesses an exceptionally warm, full-bodied, and resonant tone; its upper register is sweet and lyrical, while the entire tonal range exhibits an impressive depth of character. The instrument is highly responsive, producing a tone that is clear, warm, and remarkably penetrating—making it fully capable of meeting the demands of professional-level performance and stage work. Its spruce top and flamed maple back showcase magnificent natural wood grain patterns; having matured over decades, the violin exudes an increasingly antique and elegant charm. The original varnish remains in excellent condition (considering its advanced age), displaying only minor signs of wear consistent with use—characteristics that serve as the distinctive hallmarks of a vintage instrument. I am particularly fond of its vintage-style brass fittings, details that perfectly complement and enhance the violin's unique aesthetic character. The instrument has undergone a comprehensive professional setup and adjustment, including detailed restoration work and tonal fine-tuning. It is currently in superb condition and is ready to be played immediately upon unboxing. This is a magnificent vintage violin that harmoniously combines exquisite tone, distinct personality, and extraordinary musical expressiveness.
