MacBook Air 13” – 2GHz i7 / 8GB / 256GB SSD – NEW Battery - $240 OBO

Excellent-condition 13-inch MacBook Air (Mid 2012) with the 2 GHz dual-core Intel i7 / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD configuration. This MacBook saw only light use for school, web browsing, documents, and everyday tasks, and has essentially not been used since around 2019. It was always kept protected in a case, which is why it remains in unusually good condition for its age. I recently went through the computer completely: opened it, cleaned the interior, installed a brand-new replacement battery, and checked its operation. Everything works properly and macOS Catalina runs smoothly. This battery has been tested through several full charge cycles. CoconutBattery reports 100% battery health, with an 8,000 mAh design capacity and full-charge capacity even slightly above 8,000 mAh. The original battery for this Mac was 6,700 mAh, so the new battery has a 20% greater capacity by mAh, and rated at 55Wh versus the original 50Wh. For normal light use such as browsing, documents, and music, the new battery should last a typical day, although heavier workloads will naturally reduce runtime. Condition: The aluminum body, keyboard, trackpad, hinges, and bottom case are all in very good condition, with only minor normal cosmetic wear. All four rubber feet are intact and in excellent shape. The display looks excellent for its age, bright, crisp, and clear. There is one tiny scratch that is barely noticeable during normal use and has no effect on the image or usability. Photos of the MacBook opened during the battery replacement are included so you can also see how clean the interior is. This is a particularly nice example of the classic pre-Retina MacBook Air and still works very well as a lightweight computer for web browsing, email, basic office use, older Intel software, or as a secondary/travel laptop.
