Description

Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic 1950s Mid-Century Modern Musical Toleware Bar Tray manufactured by Nashco Products, New York. This unique piece of vintage barware features the iconic, hand-painted cartoon saloon illustration based on the classic poem "The Face on the Bar Room Floor," beautifully signed by the artist Robles. 🎵 RARE MUSICAL FUNCTIONALITY: Unlike standard serving trays, this is a premium musical edition. It features a built-in mechanical music box on the reverse side that plays the classic drinking tune "How Dry I Am." How it works: Simply wind the key on the back. When the tray is resting flat on its original wooden peg feet, the music mechanism stays paused. The moment you lift the tray up to serve a drink, the plunger pin releases, and the music automatically starts playing! ✨ CONDITION HIGHLIGHTS: Original Foil Label: Features the incredibly rare, intact original silver foil "Nashco Products New York - Chip and Alcohol Resistant" label on the back. Artwork: The hand-painted saloon characters, signs ("Beer and All You Can Eat 5¢", "Whiskey 7¢"), and lettering remain incredibly sharp, clean, and vibrant. Hardware: Outfitted with its original dual brass-tone handles and four wooden peg legs, all securely attached. Vintage Patina: Displays minor, honest surface wear/aging consistent with a 70-year-old authentic barware item, which only adds to its wonderful mid-century character. (Please review all high-resolution photos closely for exact cosmetic condition). Specifications: Brand: Nashco Products (New York) Artist: RoblesEra: Circa 1950sSong: "How Dry I Am" Material: Painted Toleware Metal, Wood Pegs, Metal Handles Dimensions: Approximately 23" x 10" (including handles) Perfect for a mid-century home bar, retro man cave, or a unique addition to any vintage tobaccoriana/barware collection
