Description

Vintage African Ngoma-Style Carved Wood Drum – 32" Large mid- to late-20th-century African export-market decorative drum. Hand-carved wood with natural hide top, lacing, wooden pegs, and carved details. Approx. 32" H, 8" drumhead, 33.5" circumference. Good vintage condition with scratches, scuffs, finish wear and patina. Hide and lacing show age but remain intact. Bottom is handmade and slightly uneven, so the drum has a small wobble on a flat floor. Decorative/export piece; ceremonial use and exact African origin are not confirmed. Great statement piece for global, eclectic, boho or African-inspired décor.
