Description

Hoyas are one of the best plants for semi-hydro. Fine roots that take to LECA immediately, and once they’re established they’re basically unkillable. This one is actively growing. Give it bright indirect light and it’ll vine out on you. Stick with it and you eventually get the flowers, which are worth the wait. Here’s how the setup works. It comes in a self-watering planter that’s really two parts. There’s an inner pot that holds the plant in LECA, and an outer reservoir underneath that holds the water. The roots pull up exactly what they need, so it’s never sitting soggy and never bone dry. You just top off the reservoir a couple times a month depending on how fast it’s drinking, and that’s it. No guessing when to water, no root rot, no drying it out. It just grows. A little about me. I run a collection of over 120 plants and every single one is thriving on this exact self-watering setup. I’ve got way too many at this point, so I’m selling some off. I have not lost a single plant running it this way. Every plant I sell is already fully converted and settled into semi-hydro and the nutrient solution I use, so these are not fresh cuttings. They’re established and putting out growth, and as long as you give them enough light they’ll keep going. You get a few things with it. It comes with a care guide written specifically for this plant, the exact nutrient solution I use (I buy it in bulk off Amazon and it’s dirt cheap), and the self-watering pot it’s already potted in. You also get me. If anything comes up after you take it home, just message me. I’d honestly rather you get it right than sell you something that struggles, so ask me anything before or after.
