The DuraPlus chimney system by DuraVent is engineered to maintain a cooler outer wall while promoting a strong, efficient draft inside. Its triple-wall construction includes two insulating layers—a ceramic blanket and an air space—to help improve performance and provide reliable protection for both the chimney and surrounding structure. The ceramic blanket insulation is securely positioned to help prevent hot spots often associated with loose-fill insulation. In the event of a creosote fire, the compressible blanket allows the chimney liner to expand outward as designed. Built for continuous operation at flue gas temperatures up to 1000°F and tested to meet UL high-temperature standards.
