H. Wise and Co. The interior pages are exceptionally clean, bright, and free of writing or foxing, detailed with striking black and orange inks and ornate page borders. This specific copy boasts fantastic localized provenance, displaying a vintage bookseller sticker from Portland, Oregon’s historic Cameron's Book Store on the inner cover, along with a vintage personal bookplate on the flyleaf. The book is bound in its original flexible dark cover and retains its authentic tie design. In keeping with the unique Roycroft style, the text block is securely anchored to the covers by the original leather thong tie passing through the middle. Please note that while the central leather strap holds the entire book safely together, the internal green paper lining along the inner front seam has split open over time. Externally, the covers show mild rubbing on the corners and edges, and the leather tie shows natural age-related dry cracking but remains fully intact.
