2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab – 5.9L V8 – 4x4 Rebuilt Engine & Transmission | Clean Title | Runs Great Selling my 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab with the 5.9L V8 and 4-wheel drive. The truck has 184,000 miles on the body, but the engine and transmission were both rebuilt around 160,000 miles, so they have approximately 24,000 miles on them since the rebuild. A ton of additional mechanical work has been completed, and I have receipts documenting the work. See photos for details. The Good: * Rebuilt 5.9L V8 engine and transmission * Approximately 24K miles since major rebuilds * 4x4 works as it should * Heat and A/C both work * Front tires approximately 6 months old * Front shocks recently replaced * Clean title * Extensive maintenance and repair history with receipts * Drove all the way from Arizona without any issues The Not-So-Good: I’m not going to sugarcoat anything. It’s a 2002, and it’s been used as a work truck. It has its share of dings, scratches, and cosmetic imperfections. * Dashboard is cracked but covered with a dash mat * Carpet has some stains * Passenger door lock sticks * Has a check engine light related to the ignition system * Needs spark plugs and ignition components addressed * An ignition wire contacted the exhaust during the drive from Arizona. I made a temporary repair with electrical tape, but it should be properly repaired. Bottom Line: This isn’t a showroom truck, and I’m not pretending it is. If you’re looking for something brand-new or something to impress your girlfriend, this probably isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a solid, dependable 4x4 work truck with major mechanical work already completed, this one is worth a look. It’s been a great truck for me, and I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you the good and the bad. I’m a big believer in being upfront about what I’m selling.
