Shameful Experience and Complete Misrepresentation

My boyfriend drove all the way from District Heights, Maryland to Roanoke, Virginia on Veterans Day  trusting this dealership’s promise of “no hidden fees” and their so-called “Clean Deal Buying” guarantee. He’s a veteran and an honest man who did everything by the book — got a written Out-the-Door quote  confirmed the details, and left work early to make the trip.

When he arrived, the story changed — not once, not twice, but four times. Each version of the price got higher, for the same vehicle! The staff, including Landon Patram and Finance Manager Keith, tried to spin it as a “misunderstanding.” That’s a lie. The math kept changing, and not one piece of paper matched the numbers they were throwing out.

What’s worse is that this all happened on Veterans Day — the same people who say “thank you for your service” turned around and wasted a veteran’s time, gas, and trust. That’s not just bad business; that’s disrespectful.

Their behavior violates Virginia’s Buyer’s Order law (§46.2-1530) and completely contradicts their “no hidden fees” advertising. They are the definition of bait-and-switch.

If you value your integrity, your time, or your money — go to another dealership where you won’t get blindsided by fake “upfront” pricing or conveniently forgotten promises.

This place should be ashamed to treat anyone this way, let alone someone who served their country.

Service representative is really good helping us and supportive but car technicians could not find our problems that stop engine suddenly. It's scares for just driving everyday.  I replaced with new battery but still happened. I'm gonna replace key battery today also if any improve.

I made an appointment to have scheduled maintenance on my 2024 Outback. I dropped the car off on Sunday using the key drop at Subaru maintenance. I filled out the form on the key drop envelope and asked that a rattling sound also be evaluated. We got a call saying that the brakes were borderline and would need to be replaced within six months. The car is only 1 1/2 years old, so now I wonder if the brakes were still within warranty. But we approved the work.
When I came to pick up the car, I asked about the evaluation of the rattling sound. Apparently, they completely ignored my request. I asked the service clerk if they even read the envelope. He was polite, but didn't seem to know.
Last August, we requested an appointment just for an oil/filter change. We were going on a long car trip. We were informed by the scheduler that next appt wasn't for six weeks. I called Shelor Subaru, and they got the car in the next day.
I have purchased three Subaru's from the dealership, and all the maintenance for those cars and an additional Subaru has been performed there over the last 23 years. Since the change from First Team to Southern Team, the customer service and service has been ABYSMAL.
