Antique Baroque Carved Wood Chair with Leather Upholstery

Dark walnut high-back chair with heavily carved crest rail, cabriole legs, and ball-and-claw feet. The back panel features embossed and painted leather with a figural religious motif secured by brass nail head trim. The seat is upholstered in matching tooled leather. Ornate carved apron detail at the front rail. Spanish Revival/Spanish Baroque style tool leather hall chair most like from the late 19th century or early 20th century. Purchased in Barcelona in 1922 and acquired at an estate sale. John S. Bradstreet Co. Minneapolis purchase in 1922 per the attached tag. Cracks in leather on seat.
