Framed reproduction of 1920s circus sideshow attraction and tattoo artist Stella Grassman alongside her husband and mentor, Samuel "Deafy" Grassman. Stella traveled with famed museums and circuses, including the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. Stella's extensive body art was primarily the work of her husband, Deafy. He was a well-respected master tattooist on the East Coast and taught Stella how to tattoo. Together, they became a prominent tattooing power couple in the 1920s and 1930s.
