Description
THIS IS A WORK TRUCK THAT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN A WORK TRUCK, AND IT IS SET UP TO KEEP GOING. A 1998 Ford Ranger XL SuperCab 4WD with the 3.0L V6, and it comes wearing the gear somebody already spent the money on: a heavy duty ladder rack over the bed, a tonneau cover, a drop in bedliner, and a receiver hitch with the ball already on it. Straight to the point on one thing, because you should know it before you drive out here: it is a MANUAL TRANSMISSION. If you drive a stick, this is exactly the truck you want, and the clutch and the gate are yours to judge on the test drive. The SuperCab gives you the jump seats behind the fronts and a sliding rear window, the front is a cloth split bench, and it has air conditioning, an AM/FM with CD, ABS, driver and passenger airbags, alloy wheels and a full size spare. The original Ford owner manual folder is still in it, which tells you something about how it was kept. Now the history, and it is a good one. CARFAX reports no accidents ever! No structural damage, no airbag deployment and no total loss reported. No salvage, junk, rebuilt, fire, flood, hail or lemon branding reported, and no odometer branding reported. No open recalls. Every owner on the report is a personal owner. The first stretch of its life was a single household for TWENTY TWO YEARS, the second owner averaged 4,667 miles a year, and the most recent owner kept it more than five years. It has been an Oregon truck since 2003. Here is the part that matters to a buyer: in November 2025 The Car Shop in Dallas, Oregon replaced the WATER PUMP, the water pump gasket and the SERPENTINE BELT, and checked the radiator, the coolant and the charging system. That is the expensive job on one of these and it is already behind you. Come drive it. We are 3 miles west of the Marion Street bridge in Salem, on Highway 22, in the old Eola Inn building.
