Be careful buying cars from this dealership. I recently bought a truck and 3 days later a check engine showed up. I called the dealership and asked if they would cover repairs, they said NO! Now I have to pay all the repairs out of pocket. I would never buy another car from them! Do not purchase car from this place.

I rarely write bad reviews, but my experience with Akkawi Motors has been extremely disappointing and I feel a responsibility to share what happened so other buyers can make informed decisions.

When I began searching for a vehicle, I intentionally chose Akkawi Motors because it appeared to be a small, family-owned dealership. I wanted to support a family business rather than a large corporate dealer. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.

I purchased a 2015 Infiniti Q50S Hybrid with approximately 87,000 miles for $15,000. During the test drive with salesman Jr, I immediately noticed that the vehicle shook during acceleration and the exhaust was unusually loud. When I raised these concerns, Jr assured me there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car. He explained that the sound was simply due to an aftermarket exhaust that was not fully bolted on, and even claimed that the modification added value to the vehicle. Based on those assurances, I was led to believe the issue was minor and easily correctable.

I was also told the vehicle had only one previous owner and a single accident, which I later discovered was not accurate. Looking back, I now realize I was never shown a Carfax report, nor were the documents fully explained before completing the purchase.

Shortly after buying the vehicle, I took it to Nissan for a professional inspection and diagnostic. What they discovered was alarming. The vehicle had extensive mechanical issues, including problems involving the transmission, suspension, trunk components, and sunroof, among other concerns. Even the exhaust system I was told was simply “loose” turned out to be a poorly executed muffler delete, where sections of the exhaust pipe had been cut with holes rather than properly installed components.

In total, Nissan identified over $7,000 in necessary repairs—nearly half of what I paid for the vehicle.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is how it was handled afterward. I contacted the dealership within less than a week of purchasing the car, hoping to resolve the situation professionally since the vehicle was clearly misrepresented. I reached out by phone and text to discuss possible solutions. Unfortunately, my calls and messages were ignored.

The lack of response suggests that the dealership was likely aware of the vehicle’s condition before the sale.

Buying a car should not feel like a gamble, especially when a buyer asks direct questions about a vehicle’s condition and relies on the representations of the seller. I wanted to support a small business, but instead I was left with a vehicle that has major mechanical problems and repair costs that should have been disclosed before the sale.

Akkawi Motors has a mix of positive and negative reviews online, and unfortunately my experience falls firmly on the negative side.

After this experience, I would strongly recommend purchasing from a certified dealership or reputable national dealer such as CarMax or an authorized manufacturer dealership, where transparency and accountability are more consistent.

No buyer should have to discover thousands of dollars in hidden problems only days after purchasing a vehicle.

Wouldn’t recommend. Was told by another dealership & folks who bought from them that most of their cars are bad and may sound good for the first couple days when you buy but have really bad after problems. They will run your credit so much.
