33 1/2" W x 27 3/8" H Charles Beckendorf was born in the Texas Hill Country in Mathis, TX, in 1930. Growing up with an interest in all things nature, he was a frequent visitor to the commercial cattle ranches surrounding his hometown. Beckendorf is generally described as a representative of Outsider Art, even though he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree after his service in the Korean War.
