Jr was such an amazing! Great experience from start to finish! He professional, helpful, and made buying a car easy and smooth. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend them.

I had a great experience with Junior. I booked an appointment with him the day before and he helped me get pre approved. Drove almost 3 hours to him and he had the truck ready to go for me. Detailed and full tank. Very friendly, very professional. I was in and out within an hour. I love my 2500 and I will definitely be going back for another car in the future. Highly recommend!

I rarely write bad reviews, but my experience with Akkawi Motors has been extremely disappointing and I feel a responsibility to share what happened so other buyers can make informed decisions.

When I began searching for a vehicle, I intentionally chose Akkawi Motors because it appeared to be a small, family-owned dealership. I wanted to support a family business rather than a large corporate dealer. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced.

I purchased a 2015 Infiniti Q50S Hybrid with approximately 87,000 miles for $15,000. During the test drive with salesman Jr, I immediately noticed that the vehicle shook during acceleration and the exhaust was unusually loud. When I raised these concerns, Jr assured me there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car. He explained that the sound was simply due to an aftermarket exhaust that was not fully bolted on, and even claimed that the modification added value to the vehicle. Based on those assurances, I was led to believe the issue was minor and easily correctable.

I was also told the vehicle had only one previous owner and a single accident, which I later discovered was not accurate. Looking back, I now realize I was never shown a Carfax report, nor were the documents fully explained before completing the purchase.

Shortly after buying the vehicle, I took it to Nissan for a professional inspection and diagnostic. What they discovered was alarming. The vehicle had extensive mechanical issues, including problems involving the transmission, suspension, trunk components, and sunroof, among other concerns. Even the exhaust system I was told was simply “loose” turned out to be a poorly executed muffler delete, where sections of the exhaust pipe had been cut with holes rather than properly installed components.

In total, Nissan identified over $7,000 in necessary repairs—nearly half of what I paid for the vehicle.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is how it was handled afterward. I contacted the dealership within less than a week of purchasing the car, hoping to resolve the situation professionally since the vehicle was clearly misrepresented. I reached out by phone and text to discuss possible solutions. Unfortunately, my calls and messages were ignored.

The lack of response suggests that the dealership was likely aware of the vehicle’s condition before the sale.

Buying a car should not feel like a gamble, especially when a buyer asks direct questions about a vehicle’s condition and relies on the representations of the seller. I wanted to support a small business, but instead I was left with a vehicle that has major mechanical problems and repair costs that should have been disclosed before the sale.

Akkawi Motors has a mix of positive and negative reviews online, and unfortunately my experience falls firmly on the negative side.

After this experience, I would strongly recommend purchasing from a certified dealership or reputable national dealer such as CarMax or an authorized manufacturer dealership, where transparency and accountability are more consistent.

No buyer should have to discover thousands of dollars in hidden problems only days after purchasing a vehicle.

Be careful buying cars from this dealership. I recently bought a truck and 3 days later a check engine showed up. I called the dealership and asked if they would cover repairs, they said NO! Now I have to pay all the repairs out of pocket. I would never buy another car from them! Do not purchase car from this place.

I had a horrible experience with Akkawi Motors. They tried to sell me a bad vehicle and I lost money as well! This month in October, I saw their listing online for a Ram ProMaster work van that I wanted. I even did a CARFAX background check before I contacted them and everything looked good on the report. I contacted them to setup an appointment to look at the vehicle, and willing to pay cash. After arriving and doing a test a drive, everything seemed good and I paid cash for the vehicle. As I was driving the vehicle off the lot, right before getting on the freeway to home, the vehicle started making weird noises, started shaking and the engine light turned on. I drove right back with the vehicle to their lot and told them what happened. The owner plugged his scanner and tried to tell me no codes popped up and that everything should be good to drive home. I drove the vehicle, and it did the same thing, even worse. It lost power and I barely made it home. I called the owner right when I got home and they told me to drive it and bring it back when I can, and I can get my money back if I did not want the vehicle anymore. I was able to bring it to my personal mechanic to look at the vehicle, and saw a lot of problems, especially the engine, and that I would probably need a new one. My mechanic suggested to not drive it, but to tow it back to them and have them fix it if I wanted to keep it. I contacted the owner and they offered to pay for the tow but never did, and I ended up paying for my own tow, since they took long to help me. When they got the towed vehicle, they had it sent out to their mechanic and took a diagnostic. I told them my mechanic took a look and I know what is wrong so to make sure they did not lie to me. After 3 days, they finally called me back and said the vehicle needed a new engine, and they will be installing a new engine with only 3 months warranty and wanted me to pay for the engine. I refused and he wanted to charge me for the mechanic service and the engine. I went back to them and demanded my money back. He still kept asking me to pay for the new engine and showed me the bill for that was over $5,000! That's when I did not want the vehicle at all and didn't trust them and wanted my money back. I ended up being $3,000 short. They also charged me for cancellation fee, tax fee, and restock fee. They should have not charged me those fees at all, when they sold me a bad vehicle in the first place. This was a horrible experience as this dealership. They tried to sell me a lemon, I lost money, and now still need to find a work van for my company. Beware buying from them, I don't think they keep their vehicles up to date.
