Vintage Mid-Century Damascene Insect/Bee Brooch Toledoware Gold Filigree Inlay

This is a beautiful vintage Spanish Damascene (Toledoware) insect brooch, dating from the mid-20th century. Each peace is handcrafted so they are all different and this is an excellent example. The central black matte body panel is beautifully decorated using traditional artisan metal inlay techniques, showcasing stunning 24k gold leaf Renaissance-style floral patterns. The wings and head showcases meticulous filgree work. Features a classic C clasp typical of that era. Measures approx. 1 & 1/2" x 1 & 1/4". It is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age-appropriate wear. The central gold inlay is bright, crisp, and intact.
