Vintage 1939 A.J. Nystrom USA Pull Down Classroom Map

Authentic, original 1939 Edition pull-down classroom map of the United States, published by A.J. Nystrom & Co., Chicago. Edited by V.C. Finch, Professor of Geography at the University of Wisconsin. This pre-WWII piece features gorgeous, color-coded physical-political cartography is a highly displayable slice of mid-century educational history. Please see all photos for details on condition. DIMENSIONS: • Canvas map area: 64 inches wide by 42 inches tall. Wooden rollers at a few inches to the height. CONDITION: • Front Graphics: In fantastic condition with very bright, rich, and unfaded coloring. • Functionality: The original wooden rods and hardware are intact, including the classic canvas mounting buckle wrapper. Opens & retracts smoothly easily. • Wear: There is minor age-appropriate rippling/wrinkling in the upper right quadrant (Northeast region), but the paper remains intact. • Backside: There is notable vintage water staining across the canvas back panel (see photos), which does not heavily impact the look of the vibrant front side when hung.
