Vintage MCS Digital 5000 Series component stereo system from 1989. Complete matching Made-in-Japan stack with amplifier, tuner, dual cassette deck, 6-disc CD changer, original remote, CD magazine, RCA cables, and power cords. This system is being sold as a complete set. I spent time testing each component and have described everything I observed below. Included * MCS 100W/channel Integrated Amplifier (Model (contact info removed)A) * MCS Quartz Synthesized AM/FM Tuner (Model (contact info removed)T) * MCS Dual Cassette Deck (Model (contact info removed)D) * MCS 6-Disc CD Changer (Model (contact info removed)C) * Original MCS remote control (untested) * Original 6-disc magazine * 3 power cords * Several RCA audio cables Condition / Testing Amplifier * Powers on and functions. * Successfully drove speakers with strong, clean audio from the cassette deck. * No issues found during my testing. Cassette Deck * Powers on. * Tape B (left deck) plays correctly with audio. * Tape A (right deck) did not play during testing. * Other functions not fully tested. AM/FM Tuner * Powers on and display works. * I was not able to receive stations during testing. * I believe it likely needs the proper FM antenna, which I do not have, but I cannot guarantee functionality. 6-Disc CD Changer * Powers on and display functions. * Magazine loads into the player. * The transport mechanism has a mechanical issue selecting discs from the magazine. * During troubleshooting I was able to manually load a disc onto the spindle and confirm the laser will recognize and begin playing a CD. * However, the changer mechanism cannot reliably retrieve or return discs from the magazine and eventually displays an error. * This component should be considered in need of repair. Cosmetic Condition Overall very nice vintage cosmetic condition for a 1989 system. Please review all photos for exact condition. This is a great candidate for a collector, vintage audio enthusiast, or someone looking for a matching MCS Digital 5000 Series setup.
