Individual or Pair of Antique Leaded Stained Glass Panels With Hand-Painted Bird Medallions

PRICE IS FOR EACH PANEL. Beautiful antique leaded stained-glass architectural panels featuring hand-painted bird medallions, richly textured colored glass, traditional leadwork, circular glass rondels, and jewel-like faceted glass accents. Each panel measures approximately 15.5” W × 36” H. Although complementary in size and overall character, the two panels are individually designed and feature different bird imagery. The glass includes shades of green, aqua, amber, blush and clear, with ruby-red accents. The colors and textures are especially beautiful when illuminated by natural light. The bird medallions appear to be hand-painted glass, with the decoration visible from the reverse. The naturalistic bird and floral imagery, geometric leadwork, rondels and decorative glass elements are characteristic of late Victorian / early 20th-century architectural stained glass. One panel was previously incorporated into a bathroom door, as shown in the photos. The door is not included and no longer exists. The stained-glass panel was removed and preserved during a later renovation. Both panels came from the inventory of a former antiques business. Condition: The bird-and-floral panel is believed to retain its original glass and leadwork with no known restoration. The companion panel sustained damage in the past and some surrounding glass was professionally replaced. Age-related wear, minor imperfections and cracks are present, consistent with antique architectural stained glass. Please review all photos closely for condition.
