Antique French Louis XV Style Hand-Carved Loveseat / Settee – Down Cushion

Beautiful antique French Louis XV–style loveseat/settee with an exceptionally pretty hand-carved wood frame, serpentine apron, floral carvings and graceful cabriole legs. This is a wonderful decorator piece with beautiful bones and would be stunning professionally reupholstered. When originally purchased, the loveseat retained a traditional tight upholstered seat with horsehair filling. A separate full-length down-filled seat cushion was later made for it. The down cushion is in very good condition and is included with the loveseat. The existing champagne/beige upholstery is worn, stained and showing its age and should be considered ready for complete reupholstery. Please see photographs. The carved wood frame has an attractive aged finish with normal wear and patina consistent with age.
