These boxes are hand-painted and made in England, often produced as part of specific annual or themed collections like St. Valentine's Day. Halcyon Days, originally known for reviving the 18th-century craft of Bilston & Battersea enamels. The lid of the oval-shaped box features two white doves perched among delicate flowers and foliage, set against a pale blue background. The interior contains a small illustration or a message, and the base is marked with the company's backstamp. The design is enamel on a copper base, finished with gilt-tone bezels and hinges.
