Description

Gorgeous Japanese Oxblood Cloisonné coasters. Marked with the makers mark and name of S. Inaba Kyoto. Beautifully done in an translucent oxblood enamel. The background design is done in bamboo and leaf motif. Wired cloisonné cherry blossoms with white and green gray enamel for the flower and tree trunk in the foreground. The metal work is done with a silver plating over copper. No cracks or chips in the enamel. Measure 3". The Inaba Cloisonné Company. was established in 1887 and I believe thisdates sometime between 1920's-1940's. This is very nice and unusual antique/vintage signed Japanese Cloisonné. Condition: Nice old patina. Excellent vintage condition. Please consider photos as part of the description.
