Bound in half leather over richly marbled boards with matching marbled endpapers and gilt top edges, these substantial volumes retain the distinguished appearance that made the series a centerpiece of well-appointed home libraries at the turn of the century. One volume retains its original leather spine, while the companion volume has a detached spine panel that is preserved and included.
