1905 British Davey & Moore Pre-Prohibition Sample/Nip Bottle, Paul Jones Distillery

Rare transatlantic crossover — an American pre-Prohibition distiller (Paul Jones of Louisville, KY) utilizing imported bottles supplied by a major British merchant bottle maker (Davey & Moore, Ltd. of Middlesex, England). The production date of 1905–1919 can be determined by the “D&M I.23” embossed on the bottom, suction scar on the bottom, embossed circular shoulder slug plate, and continuous mold seams extending through the bottle's lip. Dark amber with seed bubbles throughout. 4.25” tall x 1.5” diameter. Overall excellent condition with great clarity and deep embossing. No cracks or cloudiness.
