M. Maurice (Sandu Liberman, Romanian/Israeli, 1923–1977) "Big Sister" original hand-colored lithograph, pencil signed and numbered 215/250. This touching composition depicts a touching scene of an older sister gently embracing her younger sibling, rendered in Liberman's expressive figurative style with delicate hand-applied color accents. The artwork is presented in its original vintage frame and retains its original Robert Sills Gallery label, artist identification label, and handwritten notation indicating it was purchased in 1972, adding to its period authenticity and provenance. Framed Size: Approximately 21" x 26" Condition: The lithograph presents very well and appears free of noticeable staining, foxing, tears, or waviness. The pencil signature and edition number remain clearly visible. The vintage frame displays light cosmetic wear consistent with age and normal handling. The original dust cover on the reverse has age-related tears and has been carefully secured with clear tape to preserve the original gallery labels and handwritten provenance notes rather than replacing the backing. Minor age-related wear is present on the backing paper only and does not appear to affect the artwork itself. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description.
