Description
Three wonderful antique Chinese bowls believed to be from the Republic Period (early-to-mid 1900’s). 1st bowl: Sancai (3-color) glazed bowl sometimes called an “egg and spinach” bowl because of the green, yellow and brown splashed tiger glaze. 4-3/8” in diameter, 1-5/8” tall. 2nd bowl. Hand-painted bowl with women in traditional dress with a gilt-edge in gold color, and Chinese calligraphy in black. 4-7/16” in diameter, 2-1/8” tall. 3rd bowl. Classic blue and white Canton bowl with Chinese reign / maker mark and stylized geometric border rim on the inside. 4-1/4” in diameter, 2-3/8” tall. These are great examples of the diversity that exists in Chinese porcelain, and are an interesting contrast together displayed on a shelf. All are in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or stains. $55 for all three. Must pick-up at Central Ave and Encanto, in central Phoenix (near the Heard Museum).
