Description
Interesting 19th century (circa mid-1800’s) Victorian handcuffs from England. These are highly collectible, and a great conversation starter for any display shelf. Think of how often these might have been used, and under what circumstances. Handcuffs are in the “Darby” style for that time with heavy, wrought iron construction; early fixed bow design; hinged opening pivot joint; rotating chain-link swivel connection; and cylindrical screw-lock mechanism. These have a very solid, imposing feel to them. Handcuffs are in excellent condition with all components smoothly working, functional and with the original key that opens both cuffs (which is very hard to find). No rust or rough finish. 9” length x 3” wide. $175. Pickup at Central Ave and Encanto, in central Phoenix (near the Heard Museum).
