Hollywood Regency Bohemian Imperlux Opaline Glass 24K Decorative Ash Tray/Trinket Bowl 1950-70s. Lovely Style & in good condition with some imperfections, last photo shows nic's on the inner rim in a few spots, hard to notice 6" x 4" weighing 1 Pound. A Bit of History: "Imperlux" was a trademark brand name used by the Imperial Crystals & China Co. of New York which imported & distributed fine handcrafted lead crystal & cased glass from Bohemia (now the Czech Republic). These collectible pieces are most recognized by their opaque or semi-opaque opaline glass body, heavily applied 24-karat gold-gilt filigree & decorative metal or gilded glass feet. Hollywood Regency is an opulent glamorous interior design style that mimics the lavish movie sets, this glassware represents the glamorous gilded aesthetic of the mid-20th century. During the 1950s & 1960s, these ornate, footed glass dishes were highly popular for use as formal living room ashtrays or candy dishes. Thank you for Visiting :)
